THE IDEAS FOR CANYON, TEXAS URBAN DEVELOPMENT

The city of Canyon's director of planning and development, Lucas Raley, spoke about the city's present and potential future growth. West Texas A&M University, an intriguing feature of the city's geography, is located in the expanding city. A detailed plan for the city is in place for Canyon. The plan's goal is to provide "a rational and fair basis for decisions regarding the community's growth."  In essence, the paper establishes a 10- to 15-year plan for the city of Canyon, according to Raley. Now, where are we? Where are we attempting to go? The agreement is beneficial to both local residents and company owners. That takes a year or two to make.
